How To IRC

If you have never used IRC before, you may be a bit intimated and put off from trying it. Here you will learn how to configure important IRC settings to improve your experience, and this will hopefully encourage you to investigate other features that IRC has to offer.

The following IRC guides will assume that you have already registered your nickname, and that you have been added to the access list for #CwExperts SwiftIRC channels.

qwebirc

qwebirc is a browser-based IRC client being developed on Github. You can find this client on our how to join page here: http://cwexperts.org/how-to-join/. Using this client is only recommended if you have no prior experience using IRC, as it is simple to learn and operate. You should quickly switch to a more advanced client, as qwebirc does not support many important features that other clients do.
